Hi, I’m Steve
Nice to meet you. I build websites, and I genuinely love what I do.

I’ve been working in web development since 2008 (back when the mobile web was still a novelty and the iPhone 3G had just landed). Seven years in web agencies, specialising in clean, efficient, and user-friendly websites. I work with modern tools and frameworks to deliver solutions that actually solve problems.

I build custom WordPress themes, WooCommerce stores, and turn designs from Figma, XD, even Photoshop, and a pencil sketch in the past, into fully functional sites for agencies and direct clients alike.

Outside of work, I’m a dad of two who loves anything active, from snowboarding and indoor climbing to the occasional (and very average) attempt at surfing.

I keep things straightforward. Just honest, dependable work that delivers real value. If we work together, you’ll find me down to earth, reliable, and always up for finding smart solutions.

I became lead developer at Varn, working on WordPress websites and applications. I implemented standardised delivery methods, led projects end to end, and explored site optimisation, including a local clone of the WordPress REST API that cut initial load times by half.
