VetCPD is a full WooCommerce rebuild with custom course logic, dynamic pricing, events, and an ACF block editor so the team can manage veterinary CPD without Elementor.
Overview
Simon came to me with a site that looked fine on the surface but was a nightmare behind the scenes. The whole thing had been built in Elementor, and he was constantly struggling to edit it. Worse, his previous agency couldn’t add the bespoke functionality he needed, like custom dates and course logic, the kind of things a growing CPD platform actually depends on.
After a proper chat, we agreed the sensible move was to cut Elementor out completely and rebuild from scratch. What he had wasn’t worth salvaging. I also explained that if you’re starting fresh anyway, you might as well redesign at the same time, it doesn’t take me much longer, so we brought Jon in to reshape the site around Simon’s vision.
VetCPD is a veterinary continuing professional development platform: tutored courses, on-demand learning, conference events, newsletters, and everything that goes with selling and managing CPD online. The new site gives Simon and his team a platform they can actually run themselves, publishing courses, promoting events, and growing the catalogue without fighting the CMS or calling a developer for every small change.
That was the starting point, not the finish line. We still work together regularly, upgrading the site, adding new features, expanding WooCommerce, and adapting things as the business grows. It’s one of those client relationships that’s turned into a partnership; Jon and I even get invited to the team’s Christmas do each year for a catch-up.
