Overview
Nature Source is a Danish wholesaler offering premium organic goods with a strong focus on sustainability and ethics. I was brought in by a design agency to turn their brand vision into a fully custom WordPress and WooCommerce build, and I still support Diana in running and evolving the site.
The project is a bespoke natural products online shop built for both retail and wholesale customers. It includes dynamic pricing rules, branded discount structures, and product logic tailored to how the business actually sells. Wholesale and B2B trade ordering runs through role-based pricing, dedicated ordering flows, and automatic category discounts, so trade buyers get the right prices without manual workarounds.
Discovery is a major part of the build. Advanced AJAX product search lets customers find items by name, article number, SKU, or EAN across a large catalogue, with Scandinavian character handling built in so Danish searches stay reliable. A custom recipes hub (Opskrifter) with filterable archives, logged-in product favourites, and a cached category mega menu help shoppers and returning customers move through the site faster.
Everything is managed through a clean ACF-driven admin, designed to stay fast, stable, and flexible as the product range and business needs grow. Performance tuning and ongoing support have been part of the job from the start. Five years on, we still work together regularly on improvements, search, wholesale features, and keeping the WooCommerce wholesale website running smoothly.
